March ends in a positive way for the gaming market in Italy, in particular as regards to the casino and online poker sector. The third month of 2024 has in fact marked encouraging performances, with increasing numbers compared to what was recorded in the same period last year.
Interesting is the online casino sector, which closed the month of March with a strong growth figure compared to the same month of 2023. With an expense of 225.7 million euros, in fact, the online casino recorded an increase of + 14.7%, compared to 196.8 million in March 2023.
Excellent signs also from online cash poker: this segment also closed the month of March on a positive note, with spending of 5.5 million euros. This is a growth of +3.8% compared to the 5.3 million spent in March last year.
However, the growth of online tournament poker stops, but does not decline, in March. In the month just ended, in fact, online tournament poker recorded spending of 9.7 million euros, a value practically the same as March last year. lb/AGIMEG
