Online gaming in Italy: casino sector grows in November, poker cash continues to decline

The data for various gaming sectors in Italy for the month of November has been revealed.

As reported from Agimeg, dominating in the eleventh month of the year was the online casino market, which closed with a decidedly positive outcome. In the just-concluded month, players’ spending on casino games amounted to €210.2 million, compared to €176.1 million in November of the previous year. The growth was, therefore, 19,4%.

The growth trend also extends, albeit slightly, to the online poker tournament market. In November, this segment recorded an expenditure of approximately €9.4 million, representing a 1.9% increase compared to the €9.2 million spent in the first 11 months of 2022.

On the other hand, the negative trend in online poker cash games continues. In the just-concluded month, the sector registered an expenditure of €5.3 million, a decrease of 7% compared to the €5.7 million spent in November 2022. lb/AGIMEG
