The online casino market has started 2024 on a high note, with a significant growth in Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR). In January, the GGR for casino games reached approximately 236 million euros, marking a notable increase of 15.2% compared to the 204.7 million euros spent in January 2023.
Lottomatica emerged as the market leader, increasing its market share from 18.5% in January 2023 to 21.7% in the past month, which translates to a 16.9% growth. Other companies also saw a rise in their market share, with Sisal growing by 7.2%. Snaitech completed the top three in the market standings.
The industry also witnessed impressive performances from other operators such as Starcasinò, which saw a 10.4% increase, Admiral Sport with an 11.6% rise, Bgame with a 12.8% growth, and Scommettendo, which went up by 14.8%. Additionally, Microgame, Domusbet, Terrybet, and Sportbet also reported positive growth figures of 5.4%, 3.1%, 2.0%, and 4.7% respectively.
